The audios on this page are from a Healing Sound Service that Shemaya did at Abundant Life Center in Vancouver, WA in November of 2006. Rev. Rachel Hayward gave a talk on The Creative Power of Sound, weaving three different creation stories from three different traditions. Shemaya brought forth what it may have sounded like at those three points of creation.
The first track is from the Christian tradition and the story of Genesis. The second track is from the Hindu tradition and the story of the great OM, of Vishnu and his servant Brahma. The third track is from the Hopi creation story Spider Woman and Tawa the Sun God. The final track, "Voice of the Shaman" was co-written by Mark Moerman and Rev. Rachel Hayward. Mark placed Rachel's words to his own music.
